PetStar Australia is a website for all things pets. We are a website, yes, but different from some others. We offer everything from adopting a pet, becoming a foster carer and products and services for pets.
At present, we offer the fine details of registration, laws and current regulations regarding adopting and rehoming of pets for each state and territory in Australia.
Our Mission
At PetStar Australia, our primary objective is to provide information and services for Pet Owners, Individuals in the Pet Service Industry, Foster Carers and Animal Rescues.
Our Vision
To encourage more people to become Foster Carers for Animal Rescues across Australia, and to decrease the number of pets being euthanised in Australian pounds and shelters.

foster carers with their local rescue and rehoming organisation, and promote collaboration between foster care networks and New South Wales pounds.
The Australian Pet Crisis
Australia is facing a severe pet crisis driven by the long-term aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, rising living costs, and an extreme shortage of pet-friendly rental housing. As owners return to full-time work and face financial hardship, animal shelters and council pounds have hit maximum capacity, forcing difficult decisions regarding euthanasia due to space constraints.
