Dear Rescue, We have created an Invitation to Foster a Pet: we are excited for YOU to invite compassionate individuals who resonate with our collective mission: to save animals and find loving forever homes.

Caring for a pet goes beyond merely providing a roof over their head; it requires a commitment to enhancing their emotional and physical well-being. Every pet entrusted to a rescue's care has faced challenges and deserves a sanctuary filled with empathy, patience, and kindness during their vulnerable transition.

When our foster carers embody these crucial values, it creates an environment where each pet flourishes. Your support will enable them to recover from past traumas, build trust, and develop the skills necessary to thrive in a permanent home. By being a part of our fostering community, you will make a profound difference in the lives of our furry friends, ensuring they embark on their journeys equipped with the love and confidence they need.

If you're interested in fostering a specific pet, please complete our Expression of Interest form. It's important to provide us with detailed information regarding your home environment, including any other pets you may have, the layout of your space, and your typical daily routine.

Additionally, let us know about your availability for fostering—whether you can be a short-term or long-term foster carer. This valuable information helps our team make the perfect match between you and the pet's individual needs, ensuring the best possible care and a smooth, loving fostering experience for both you and the animal.

1. Foster carers can complete an Expression of Interest form through the PetStar Australia system.
2. After reviewing this form, Animal Rescues fills out an Intake Pet Form.
3. An Invitation to foster a Pet will be sent to you by the Rescue.

• Toys (if available or donated)
• Medication (if relevant)
• Flea/tick tablet
• Worming tablet/dose
• Heartworm treatment. Discuss with the rescue the pet's heartworm history, as they may need a heartworm test before starting Heartworm treatment in the there has been a break in the treatment or the pet has symptoms or is a senior.
• Vaccination Certificate and Desexing Certificate (copies).
• We cover the cost of vet visits that we have booked on your behalf at our preferred vets.
• Transport for a foster carer who is a non-driver.

• Emergency Only (1-5 days)

• The Pet will be delivered to your home by a rescue volunteer
• A Foster Carer is required to meet at the Transporters Meeting Point
